Mercado Central – Sao Paulo

Mercado Central – Sao Paulo, a set on Flickr.

Just posted a new set of pictures on Flickr: Mercado Central

This is from my recent trip to Brazil. My brother took me to the Old Central Market (Mercado Central) and we had a great time talking about photography and life. In the process we also got a few shots.

This set was shot in film using my Leica M6 and a 50mm Summilux. Great combo, but after using the 35mm most to the time during my trip, had to get used again to this focal length. I believed I used an old Fuji film as opposed to the nice Ektar so the scans were not so great. All images processed using Nik’s Silver Effex Pro 2, some of the I used Define to reduce noise, but didn’t make much difference at the end (after BW conversion and filter applied). Hope you like the shots and PP. Comments and suggestions are always welcomed!

Cheers

Rafael

  1. Rafael, really beautiful work. I love the 50mm Summilux and that focal distance, but I understand about the switch from 35mm. Still, the 50 produces such intimate images. Great.
